Ellen Johnson
Interpublic Group [New York] (NYSE: IPG) announced that Frank Mergenthaler, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has elected to retire effective December 31, 2019. Mr. Mergenthaler will continue with the company in an advisory role through March 31, 2020. Mr. Mergenthaler became IPG’s Chief Financial Officer in August 2005. The company also announced that Ellen Johnson, currently the company’s Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, and Global Chief Financial Officer of IPG Mediabrands, will succeed Mr. Mergenthaler, to become Interpublic’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on January 1, 2020. Ms. Johnson joined IPG’s treasury group in 2000, and prior to that, held senior finance leadership roles at Revlon.
Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment Corporation [FARMINGDALE, NJ] (NYSE: CHMI) announced the promotion of Michael Hutchby to Chief Financial Officer, from Controller. Hutchby succeeds Martin Levine, who will remain in his role as President of Aurora Financial Group, Inc., Cherry Hill’s wholly-owned mortgage servicing subsidiary. Prior to joining Cherry Hill, Hutchby was Vice President of Capital Markets for Freedom Mortgage Corporation, specializing in M&A, corporate development and capital raising. Before Freedom Mortgage, he held multiple positions within the investment banking and financial consulting sectors at Sterne, Agee & Leach, Madison Place Partners and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Hutchby worked at Sungard Energy Systems (SES) as a Senior Consultant, Product Manager and Quality Assurance Specialist, managing the development, deployment and support of complex energy commodities trading and risk analysis systems.
Keen Decision Systems [DURHAM, NC] announced Ellen Grantham has been named the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining Keen Decision Systems, Grantham served as CFO of K4Connect.
Ouster [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that it has appointed Oliver Hutaff as its first Chief Financial Officer. Hutaff was previously COO/CFO at Electric Imp from 2013 to 2019 and CFO at Roku Inc. from 2010 to 2012.
Charah Solutions, Inc. [LOUISVILLE, KY] (NYSE: CHRA) announced the appointment of Roger D. Shannon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer, effective June 17, 2019. Current Interim CFO and Treasurer, Nicholas Jacoby, will remain with the Company as Vice President of Finance. Shannon joins Charah Solutions from ADTRAN, where he held various roles including CFO, Senior Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Head of Corporate Development since 2015. Prior to his time at ADTRAN, Shannon served as CFO and Treasurer for Steel Technologies for more than nine years. Earlier in his career, he performed a variety of senior finance roles at Brown-Forman and British American Tobacco, as well as accounting positions at Vulcan Materials Company, Lexmark International and KPMG.
Alliance HealthCare Services, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Bill Larkin as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Larkin takes on the chief financial officer role from Rhonda Longmore-Grund, who was promoted to chief executive officer in November of 2018. Over the last ten years, Bill has served as chief financial officer of both public and privately held companies at Fuel Systems Solutions, Westport Innovations and SouthWest Dealer Services Inc.
Frontier Communications Corporation [NORWALK, CT] (NASDAQ: FTR) announced that Sheldon Bruha has been named permanent Chief Financial Officer, effective June 3, 2019. Bruha joined Frontier in February 2018 as Senior Vice President and Treasurer and had been serving as interim Chief Financial Officer since September 1, 2018. Prior to joining Frontier, Bruha’s career in global finance included positions at CDI Corp. and senior financial positions heading corporate finance, treasury, tax, and investor relations for Cable & Wireless Communications in Miami and London. He started his financial career at Lehman Brothers, and held senior investment banking positions in its New York and London offices, focusing on the telecommunications industry.
RRA Capital [PHOENIX] named Bill Stasiulatis as Chief Financial Officer. Stasiulatis joins RRA Capital after 20 years at Torchlight Investors, where he served as a Partner and Portfolio Manager, as well as a member of the Board of Directors, Operating Committee, and Investment Committee.
Payer Compass [PLANO, TX] announced the appointment of Matthew Thompson as Chief Financial Officer. Thompson most recently served as CFO of HealthSmart Holdings. Prior to that, he served as CFO of American CareSource Holdings, Inc. He also held financial management positions with Tyler Technologies, Inc. and started his career with Ernst & Young LLP.
One Network Enterprises [DALLAS, Texas] announced that Robert Curry has been named chief financial officer (CFO). Prior to joining One Network, Robert served as Managing Director for vcfo. Previously, he held CFO and COO positions with a variety of companies, such as ThinkTank, Inc., ProofHQ Limited, Adgile, Inc., and HRSmart, Inc. He started his career as an auditor and tax accountant with Ernst & Young.
Thommen Medical USA [CLEVELAND, Ohio] announced that Joe Galea has joined as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Operations. Galea was most recently the Corporate Controller of a durable medical equipment company in the Cleveland area.
Kareo [IRVINE, CA]announced the appointment of David Justus to chief financial officer. Prior to joining Kareo, Justus served as CFO of Avetta. Prior to that, he was CFO of The Retail Equation.

Gregg Taylor
Purple Land Management [FORT WORTH, TX] announced the addition of Gregg Taylor as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Most recently, Taylor served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer for Energy Alloys. He also served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for GSE Environmental.
Revolution Lighting Technologies, Inc. [STAMFORD, CT] (NASDAQ: RVLT) announced that Joan Nano has agreed to serve as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, effective as of June 14, 2019. Nano has served as a financial consultant to the Company since March 27, 2019. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Nano served as Managing Director of Finance Solutions, LLC, since 2008. From 2001 to 2007, Nano served as the Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Crane Co.
Unum Therapeutics Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: UMRX) announced that Matthew Osborne will be joining as Chief Financial Officer, effective June 24, 2019. Most recently, he was vice president of corporate affairs, communications and investor relations at Voyager Therapeutics, and he also served as global head of investor relations at Shire plc (now Takeda) during its acquisitions of Baxalta Inc. and Dyax Corp., vice president of corporate communications and investor relations at Synageva BioPharma from its public inception through its acquisition by Alexion Pharmaceuticals, and investor relations at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as part of an Institutional Investor highly-ranked investor relations team. He also worked on Wall Street at Lazard Capital Markets and Leerink Swann (now SVB Leerink).
MJ Holdings Inc. [LAS VEGAS, NV] (OTC: MJNE) appointed Laurence Ruhe as its new Chief Financial Officer. Ruhe joins MJ Holdings with over 30 years of finance experience, most recently as the CFO of Freedom Leaf. Ruhe previously held senior finance positions at BMM International, Progressive Gaming and Konami Gaming. Mr. Ruhe has also worked in international banking, including positions at Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank and Banca CRT. Ruhe is replacing Rocky Wheeler who resigned from the Company at the end of May.
Pacific Financial Corporation [ABERDEEN, Washington] (OTCQB: PFLC), the holding company for Bank of the Pacific, announced that Douglas Biddle will retire from his position as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 31, 2019.
Altimmune, Inc. [GAITHERSBURG, MD] (NASDAQ: ALT) announced it has appointed Will Brown as Chief Financial Officer. Brown has been serving as the Acting Chief Financial Officer since May 2018. Brown has been a consultant to several private and public companies in a variety of accounting and tax matters both independently and as the managing partner of Redmont CPAs. Prior to his consulting role, he was an audit manager at PwC and a Division Controller at Rheem.
IBC Advanced Alloys Corp. [FRANKLIN, Indiana] (TSX-V: IB, OTCQB: IAALF) announced the appointment of Toni Wendel to the position of Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and Corporate Secretary. Ms. Wendel has served as IBC’s Corporate Controller since December of 2018, and replaces James Taylor, who has served as IBC’s Interim CFO since January of 2018. Before serving as IBC’s Corporate Controller, Ms. Wendel served as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Treasurer for North American operations for PMG Corp., a joint venture of the powder metal divisions of Plansee and Mitsubishi Materials Global. Prior to that, she spent 15 years in various positions overseeing the finance activities of Diamet Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials.
Noble Iron Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (TSX-V: NIR) announced the appointment of Mariam Chaudhry as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Mariam joined Noble Iron as a Controller in November 2018, and previously worked in senior finance roles at companies in business process outsourcing, digital media, real estate and property management.
Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines [DES MOINES, IA] announced the promotion of Joelyn Jensen-Marren who was named Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The change in leadership follows an announcement made earlier this year that Joseph E. Amato, executive vice president and CFO, will be leaving the Bank. Jensen-Marren has been a part of the FHLB Des Moines team for the last 20 years. Her previous responsibilities included supporting the mortgage lending and other needs of members, including risk management. She began her tenure with the Bank as a Senior Risk Analyst and has experience in market risk, financial risk and most recently portfolio strategy.
NV5 Global, Inc. [HOLLYWOOD, FL] (NASDAQ: NVEE) announced the appointment of Edward Codispoti as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Spark Energy, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NASDAQ: SPKE) announced the appointment of James G. Jones II as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, following Mr. Jones’ resignation from Spark’s Board. He will also assume the role of Spark’s Chief Risk Officer. Jones and has served on Spark’s Board and chaired the Audit Committee and Special Committee since our IPO in 2014..

Vector [TUCSON, AZ] announced Stephanie Koster will join the team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Koster joins Vector from Blue Origin where she spent nearly seven years as Director and Treasurer of its domestic and international affiliates. Koster has also held senior leadership roles at The Boeing Company.

Mel Tucker
Genesco Inc. [NASHVILLE, TN] (NYSE: GCO) announced that it has appointed Mel Tucker senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer, effective June 24, 2019. Tucker succeeds Mimi E. Vaughn, who recently was promoted to chief operating officer. Most recently, Tucker served as chief financial officer of New York-based Century 21 Department Stores. In addition, he was chief financial officer at Bass Pro Shops, senior vice president of finance with PetSmart, and vice president of financial planning and analysis with Circuit City. He began his career with Home Depot where he held various progressively more responsible corporate accounting and finance positions from 1990 to 2005, including vice president of finance.
Renew Financial [OAKLAND, CA] announced that Mary Kathryn Lynch, who was previously serving as Renew Financial’s Executive Vice President of Finance, was officially named Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Lynch spent ten years in the clean energy industry, working with organizations such as Sunrun and VoteSolar. Prior to that, she worked at UBS Investment Bank, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank, as well as other institutions.
GreenLight Biosciences, Inc. [MEDFORD, MA] welcomes Susan Keefe as chief financial officer. Most recently, she served as financial consultant to a range of life science companies with Danforth Advisors. For five years, Susan worked with Aushon Biosystems, Inc., as vice president of finance and administration and corporate treasurer. Her experience also includes roles at SeraCare Life Sciences, Inc., Procter & Gamble, and PwC.
Quanex Building Products Corporation [HOUSTON, TX] (NYSE: NX) announced that Scott M. Zuehlke, the Company’s current Vice President – Investor Relations and Treasurer, has been named interim Chief Financial Officer, replacing Brent L. Korb.
Verus International, Inc. [GAITHERSBURG, MD] (OTC: VRUS) announced that Christopher Cutchens has been appointed as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Chris served as the Managing Partner of Cutchens Group, LLC, and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of DirectView Holdings, Inc. Veeam® Software [BAAR, Switzerland and ATLANTA, Georgia] announced that it has appointed Charles O. Garner as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Before joining Veeam, Mr. Garner served as the CFO of Blackhawk Network.
