CFO Moves – week ending March 27, 2020

Regional Management Corp. [GREENVILLE, SC] (NYSE: RM) announced that it has promoted Robert W. Beck, the company’s EVP and Chief Financial Officer, to be its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, Michael S. Dymski, the company’s VP and Chief Accounting Officer, has been named interim Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his promotion to interim CFO, Dymski served as the company’s Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller since 2013. From 2011 through 2013, he was the Director of Finance, South USA with TD Bank. From 2000 through 2010, Dymski was employed by The South Financial Group in varying roles, including Vice President and Controller of Finance and Accounting and Senior Vice President of Finance.

David Anders

Edgewater Midstream, LLC [HOUSTON] announced David Anders has joined the company as its chief financial officer. Anders comes to Edgewater after a 17-year tenure in Bank of America’s Energy Investment Banking Group. Anders most recently served as managing director in Bank of America’s Natural Resources Group.

Recursion [SALT LAKE CITY] announced the appointment of Michael Secora, Ph.D., as its Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Recursion, Dr. Secora was Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets and Venture at Laurion Capital.

STANLEY Security [INDIANAPOLIS] appointed Chadi Chahine as Chief Financial Officer on March 18. Most recently, Chahine was CFO at Circor International.

Landec Corporation [SANTA CLARA, CA] (NASDAQ: LNDC) named Brian McLaughlin as its permanent CFO, following his post as interim CFO since January 2020.

Menlo Therapeutics Inc. [BRIDGEWATER, NJ] (NASDAQ: MNLO) appointed Andrew Saik as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Saik was most recently CFO at PDS Biotechnology, Inc. (formerly Edge Therapeutics). Prior to PDS he was CFO at Vertice Pharma, LLC. Previously, he was CFO at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to Auxilium, he was Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer at Endo Health Solutions, Inc. Prior to Endo, Saik served in senior financial management roles with increasing responsibility at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, including Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO of the Specialty Pharmaceutical Business which included its dermatology franchise.

CytomX Therapeutics Inc. [SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO] (NASDAQ: CTMX) announced the appointment of Carlos Campoy as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Most recently, Campoy held the position of chief financial officer at Alder BioPharmaceuticals, which was acquired in October 2019 by Lundbeck A/S. Prior to Alder, Campoy held the role of vice president of finance, international at Allergan plc. Prior to joining Allergan, over the course of an 18-year tenure at Eli Lilly and Company, Campoy held senior financial leadership positions including most recently as chief financial officer of Eli Lilly Japan K.K.

KBP BioSciences [PRINCETON, NJ] announced the appointment of Nick Hart as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer at Temptime Corporation. From 2008 to 2013, he was Chief Financial Officer and Acting President at HemCon Medical Technologies. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of Alltracel Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in his career, he worked at venture capital firms Porton Capital Ltd and BioScience Managers Ltd (BML). He previously served in a variety of leadership roles, including CFO and COO at Cantab Pharmaceuticals.

Peter Farr

McClatchy [SACRAMENTO, CA] (OTC: MNIQQ) announced the appointment of Peter Farr as McClatchy’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Farr has served as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) since joining McClatchy in 2018 and will continue in his role as CAO. He succeeds Elaine Lintecum who will serve as Special Advisor to the CEO until her retirement on June 30, 2020. Prior to joining McClatchy, Farr held leadership roles in accounting at The Boeing Company, Allianz SE and Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

Judd Lee

RealNetworks, Inc. [SEATTLE] (NASDAQ: RNWK) announced the hiring of Judd Lee as Senior Vice President. Lee starts at Real on Thursday, March 26th and will become Real’s new Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer early in the second quarter of 2020, succeeding Mike Ensing. Lee served as Chief Financial Officer at SignalSense. Prior to that, he held senior finance roles at investment firms, including venture capital firm Maveron, and technology companies, including Microsoft.

DTE Energy [DETROIT] (NYSE: DTE) announced the appointment of David Ruud as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective May 4.  Ruud, who currently serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development at DTE, will succeed Peter Oleksiak, who will be retiring from his role as Chief Financial Officer. Oleksiak will remain with DTE through the end of the year as a special advisor to DTE President and Chief Executive Officer Jerry Norcia. During his 15-year career at DTE Energy, Ruud has served in several senior leadership roles across the organization, including most recently as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development.

Jonathan Spira

Impartner [SALT LAKE CITY] announced the appointment of Jonathan Spira as CFO. Spira replaces long-time Impartner CFO Bert Young, who is retiring in June. Spira brings a proven track record of CFO positions, including leading a host of SaaS and software companies from BROWZ to Untangle to Blinkx to Autonomy.

Dynatronics Corporation [COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, UT] (NASDAQ: DYNT) announced the appointment of John A. Krier as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He succeeds David A. Wirthlin as Dynatronics’ CFO, who will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Most recently, Krier was Vice President of Marketing at Breg, Inc. Prior to joining Breg, Krier was President of Viscent, LLC, an orthopedic bracing supplier acquired by Breg in October 2014. Krier began his career as a Certified Public Accountant for Deloitte.

Latham Pool Products [ALBANY, NY] announced that it has appointed Mark Borseth as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining Latham, Mark most recently served as CEO of Ranpak, after previously serving as the company’s CFO. He started his career in sales and warehouse management at Condux International and also served as Operating Partner at Turnspire Capital Partners. He was CFO at Constar and Eclipse Aviation, in addition to holding various positions of increasing responsibility over the course more than 20 years at 3M.

Town Sports International Holdings, Inc. [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Phillip Juhan as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Juhan served as Vice President of Business Operations for the Company since Aug. 2018. Juhan brings a number of years of progressive experience in both financial and entrepreneurial leadership roles, including more than ten years in the Investment Banking Divisions of Prudential Financial and the Bank of Montreal where he led consumer-focused research within the Financial Services (Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging) and Consumer (Broadlines Retail and Restaurants) sectors. The company also announced that Helen Van Ness will no longer serve as interim Chief Financial Officer for the Company. 

PDS Biotechnology Corporation [PRINCETON, NJ] (NASDAQ: PDSB) announced that Andrew Saik has resigned as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a director of the board to pursue other professional opportunities.  The Company appointed Frank Bedu-Addo, Ph.D., the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, as interim Principal Financial Officer and Janetta Trochimiuk, PDS Biotech’s Controller as interim Principal Accounting Officer. Trochimiuk is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience, serving as Controller and CFO of private and publicly listed companies.
